Marina Baratashvili

Best Body Sculpting Treatment

Marina Baratashvili is a skilled massage therapist who became famous taking care of the Ballet Troupe’s dancers at the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre. Also a physiotherapist with unmatched technique, she has an incredible overall knowledge of bodily health. She has been working closely with the Bolshoi prima ballerina Nina Ananiashvili for more than a decade.

When I met Marina for the first time, I immediately realized that her method offered more than just a massage, but also a treatment. Her curated approach can reduce chronic pain, relieve tired and aching muscles, relax the body, calm the nervous system, reduce swelling, and speed the elimination of metabolic waste.

Could you tell us more about how it all started and how you learned your technique?

My combined experiences have deepened my knowledge of muscles, and since it has been my goal to discover the secret gravity of muscles. Today I am happy to report good results in that direction.

After graduating and becoming a licensed massage therapist, I’ve worked in a wide variety of settings: day spas, athletic clubs, private practice, chiropractic clinics, and physical therapy offices. The most important moment in my career came when I met Professor Li Wi Kai in Guangzhou, China. There, I practiced acupuncture and Chinese medicine for a number of months. That experience made me realize what I had been searching for my whole my life, what I wanted to do, and how I could help people. My combined experiences have deepened my knowledge of muscles, and since it has been my goal to discover the secret gravity of muscles. Today I am happy to report good results in that direction.

Beyond the positive impact of the massage, what you do is a real treatment. What are some of the benefits that your clients can expect?

Massage therapy is an ever-evolving way to learn about healing the body, mind, and spirit.

My education in human movement and my own experiences as a dancer have helped me understand how the body functions and heals, and how to help those who are recovering from injuries or suffering from chronic pain. Massage therapy is an ever-evolving way to learn about healing the body, mind, and spirit. It is also good for blood circulation, immune system, and lymph nodes.

What is the one thing that most people don’t know when caring for the legs?

Mostly people wear the wrong type of clothing, like uncomfortable underwear that cuts off circulation, or pants that barely let you breathe. In addition, few drink the proper amount of water at the right time of the day. These are the most common mistakes that clients make that can delay the healing process. It is also important to consider that your workout might interfere with the sculpting process.

With summer approaching, we all want to improve the look of our legs, what can we do in our daily routine to achieve good results?
  • Get massages!
  • Drink your water – It’s the purest form of energy. You should drink water on an empty stomach. Remember that three quarters of our body is water. Every 24 hours we need to drink 1.5-2 liters of clear water.
  • Chew your food thoroughly
  • Practice cryotherapy
  • Use arnica oils
  •  Eat watermelon and peach (as favorite fruits)
  •  Do pilates
  •  Swim
  • Do some ballet – I always highly recommend this.

Doing all or a combination of these things will definitely get you that “summer body.”

What activities and foods should we avoid?

Avoid salt, sugar, and bread. Reduce your red meat intake.

The best thing I can recommend is looking up your blood type and following the associated diet. It will change your life for the best.

Things to avoid
  •  Running in machines (outside is perfectly fine)
  • Weight-lifting
  • Any other practice that will increase your muscle mass – this will destroy the progress of message therapy

A home visit is $150.
