Meet Kelly Rutherford
We sat down to talk about her life, career, and, of course, the beauty secrets that have kept her looking so radiant.
Kelly Rutherford has spent her fair share of time in front of the camera. Throughout her career, she’s migrated from daytime soap operas and hit television dramas to well-known movies made in Hollywood. Despite her success in the acting industry, her life’s passions have extended well beyond the lens.
Kelly designed an exquisite line of jewelry, called Kelly Rutherford Jewelry. Taking the form of hearts, stars, and moons, her 14k golden treasures will decorate your ears, wrists and necklines with simplicity and grace.
We sat down with Kelly to talk about her life, career, and, of course, the beauty secrets that have kept her looking so radiant.
What inspired you to start your jewelry line, Kelly Rutherford Jewelry?
I just love the simplicity and universality of hearts and stars and moons, and that they are 14k solid gold. They are such good quality, something that you can wear every day.
How would you describe the jewelry’s aesthetic? What is your vision for Kelly Rutherford Jewlery in the future?
To keep creating. Listening to my intuition.
Can you share more about the collaborations you have done with your line? (Mungo & Maud, Meira T, etc.)?
Meira T is amazing, I love their jewelry. And the brand is Owens and run by a mother and her daughters. They started a children’s line for my charity.
What have you learned in starting your business?
That there is so much to learn!
You don’t look a day older than when you played Lily van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl. What are your anti-aging secrets?
I eat healthy food and use good filters on Instagram!
Do you have a favorite product for filming (what looks best in those bright lights)?
I like Embryolisse – it’s available at Blushington – and Chuda skincare.
Do you have a pre-filming ritual, beauty or otherwise, you do before going on camera?
A good night’s sleep and a cappuccino in the morning.
Can you share a favorite memory or experience you’ve had while acting?
There are so many. I feel at home on a set creating. I love what I do. I feel so blessed to be doing what I love.
You’ve been famous for a number of years now. What would people be surprised to learn about you?
We are all so open now with our lives. I like to spend time at home a lot, puttering around. Cleaning closets, organizing, de-cluttering.
