L.E.D Facial at the Scarlet Huntington Hotel

This treatment is especially recommended at a time of year when we get little exposure to direct sunlight.

Nestled at the top of Nob Hill in San Francisco is the fabulous Nob Hill Spa located inside the Scarlet Huntington. One of its several unique treatments includes the L.E.D facial, which I received from my esthetician, Dani Lamkin. This treatment is especially recommended at a time of year when we get little exposure to direct sunlight.

After spending some time in the steam room, I lay down in a luxurious, warm treatment bed in a cozy, candle-lit environment. When she cleansed my face, Dani applied a special hydrating cream that would eventually penetrate more deeply with the help of the L.E.D lights.

The treatment had erased my tired lines, leaving my face with a distinct, youthful glow.

Each L.E.D facial is customized. As I close my eyes and let myself drift off a combination of aqua-blue light (antibacterial and collagen boosting), red light (lymph drainage, circulation and hydration), and yellow light (tonifying and firming) worked on my face. A few minutes into the treatment, I felt a deep relaxation within my body. The lights moved around my face for 30 minutes and at the end, I felt refreshed and rejuvenated. I could even see the results in the mirror immediately after my session. The treatment had erased my tired lines, leaving my face with a distinct, youthful glow.

Dani explained that this is a great treatment to do a day before an important event, or after a day of travel. And if done on a regular basis, it can produce even stronger, better results.

The FDA has recently approved this treatment, which is effective in collagen production, the reduction of acne and skin hydration.
