Few openings garner the instant buzz that The Ned has achieved. That’s because the brainchild of Soho House Co & famed Sydell Hotel Group lives up to the hype.

From their destination restaurant (Cecconi’s anyone?) to the rooftop pool and Cowshed Spa, the only threat is that it’ll be hard to drag yourself to any other spot.

The first branch of Duck & Dry proved such a hit with The Chelsea Set that their latest opening in Oxford Circus seemed only a natural leap. They’ve got the blow dry bar down to a fine art: an extensive style menu (including dreamy up-dos), sleek interiors, and stylists that impart a pampering sense of joy. Open from 7.30am, this is a power-morning pit stop must.

The Power Breakfast: Duck & Waffle

Nothing starts the day like breakfast in the sky. Forty floors up, Duck & Waffle offers panoramic views of London (in the winter, it’s also the best spot to catch a late sunrise) and since it’s open 24 hours a day you can choose to eat whenever you wake. The clientele is an eclectic mix – it’s city location means it’s great for pre-boardroom dining but it also attracts a heavy dose of the fashion and media worlds. The food, under esteemed chef Dan Doherty lives up to the hype – and unsurprisingly, the waffles are worth a try.

Boxing has quickly become London’s favourite workout and Kobox has led the charge. It’s King’s Road location, sleek, shiny black punching bagsm and “nightclub meets fight club” atmosphere has attracted everyone from elite athletes to time-poor CEOs. A favourite with the London wellness crowd too, any session in the ‘box’ produces an endorphin high that’s hard beat.

Vegetarian and vegan food has never tasted (or looked) so good. On a mission to showcase the delicious array of plant-based food from around the world, Farmacy has quickly become a firm favourite thanks to their mouth-watering Macro bowls, immune-boosting juices (served, rather photogenically, in syringe shots), and the famed Farmacy burger. Expect to find high-powered yummy mummies, entrepreneurs, and off-duty wellness gurus in situ.
