A Guide to your Labor Day Weekend in the Hamptons

September is the best month in The Hamptons. The ocean is warm, the beaches are empty, and town is a lot less crowded. Long Island is the perfect place to recharge, see friends, and eat all that your heart desires. This is one of my favorite places in the world to spend time, and the September skies will keep you coming back every year. Here are some of my favorite things to do when I am spending some time in this little paradise.

Breakfast

Provisions serves delicious and nutritious breakfast all day. It’s the perfect place to eat organic, healthy food with friends. The cafe has seats both inside and outside, a great breakfast menu and possibly the best home made chai tea. It also hosts a full market with everything you could ever need, making organic shopping easy and convenient after breakfast. (7 Main Street, Sag Harbor (631) 725-3636)

Paddle Boarding

Paddle Diva : there is no better way to see nature out East than by floating on it. Paddle Diva in East Hampton provides rentals, lessons, group tours, and yoga classes on Gardiners Bay. You can Paddle on the ocean or the bay and get the best core work out imaginable while looking at the most beautiful scenery. It’s a fun activity done alone or with friends! Pierre’s is one of my favorite spots, year round, and happens to be located right next to a market ideal for take-out, smoothies and pastries of all kinds.

Lunch

Pierre’s Bridgehampton is a lively scene with delicious French bistro cuisine and healthy juices. In addition to Croque Monsieur, escargot and moules, the restaurant features a selection of local seafood dishes, a great burger, and many vegetarian options. It’s one of my favorite spots, year round, and happens to be located right next to a market ideal for take-out, smoothies and pastries of all kinds. (Pierre’s 2468 Main Street, Bridgehampton 631-537-5110)

Shopping

Two of my favorite stores are Tenet in Southampton (Tenet 91 Main Street Southampton) and Tiina in Amagansett (216 Main Street, Amagansett). Tenet has a large selection of clothing for men and women, and features everything wearable, cool and casual. Tiina is also super chic with items by interesting European designers. She stocks her store to perfection with shoes, a few things for the home and jewelry.

Aerin Hamptons

Aerin
Aerin’s beautiful shop has a little bit of everything with merchandise that changes seasonally. It’s the perfect shop for home, make up, jewelry, shoes and other special items. Aerin’s personal taste and style touches everything in the store so be sure to treat yourself along with your hostess.

Hair and Make-up

27 Hampton Salon offers all services, year round. It’s best place for a blow out, make-up application, nails and now cryogenic facials. This eco chic salon also offers many safer products for all your grooming needs. It has a very friendly atmosphere with a knowledgeable staff that will make at home away from home. Coffee Spots

Sag Town Coffee in Sag Harbor.
Hampton Coffee in Watermill.
Both of these coffee shops have great coffee and yummy snacks, nice spots for an afternoon break. These are great places to sit and relax with your cuppa jo, check out the scene and catch up on emails.
