Hot Cocoa Recipe

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2


2 cups organic unsweetened coconut milk
2 tablespoons organic bittersweet cocoa powder
Pinch of Cinnamon powder
Pinch of Cardamon powder
1 teaspoon of raw honey


Warm up the milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
When it starts to boil remove from the burner, add the cocoa powder and whisk for a creamy finish.
Add the honey and spices, and put it back on the burner for another 10 seconds.

Coconut milk adds a great creamy taste to the drink but you can replace it with almond or soy milk.
Cardamom and cinnamon are perfect spices for wintertime, but if you want to add a little spice you can add a pinch of Cayenne pepper or 1 clove and a dash of vanilla extract (drop the clove into the milk while heating and remember to remove it before drinking).
