Homeopathic Healing with Model Danielle Zinaich

Supermodel, mother, wife and homeopath Danielle Zinaich takes us through her day, her favorites, and guides us through homeopathy 101.

Lights, camera, healing. This has been the life of model and homeopath Danielle Zinaich. Originally hailing from West Virginia, Zinaich’s fashion career spans over 20 years, throughout which she has earned the coveted status of muse to the renowned photographer Steven Meisel. Her impressive portfolio includes features in major publications such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, in addition to the elite runways of the likes of Chanel, Calvin Klein and Givenchy. Just before her first child was born, Zinaich decided to press pause on the fast-paced world of fashion and pursue a separate, yet interestingly still correlated passion–holistic, natural healing. After four years of intensive studies in New York City and London with leading doctors, Zinaich now runs her own practice in northern Westchester, while continuing to model. Her homeopathic journey is rooted in a deep love for and sincere belief in its advantages, which naturally (pun intended), also enhances her understanding of energies, crystals, and eclectic personalities. Read on to learn more about the numerous benefits of homeopathy, while getting to know the multifaceted supermodel-mother-wife-healer a little better.

YOUR CITY – Chappaqua

What you love most…

I love the beautiful rural setting in close proximity to New York City! There is a direct train into Grand Central!

Go-to lunch place…

LOCAL – an organic cafe in Chappaqua.

A night out in the town…

Watch an independent film at The Jocob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville and have dinner at Village Social in Mount Kisco.

YOUR DAY

Morning routine…

I like to have green tea first thing in the morning. Then I have celery juice, take the dog out for a walk, wash my face, apply toner, put on layers of cream and oil, get dressed, meditate for 15 minutes, eat breakfast (sometimes homemade cashew/coconut yogurt with fruit and a little granola, a protein shake, or eggs and avocado). I then energetically clear my office and put the kettle on before I start seeing my lovely homeopathy clients. I like to wake up slowly and not jump into things.

Perfect outfit…

I like to wear comfortable pants, like corduroy or jeans, with a cute blouse and sweater, and I always wear protective stones like shungite, kyanite or tourmaline. I also like oversized scarves to wrap around myself during sessions. I combine high and low-end brands and love vintage pieces!

Evening relaxation…

I love cooking a new recipe with my husband (either an Instapot recipe or something from the NY Times) and eating as a family while catching up on school with my two boys, who are 13 and 17 years old. Sometimes, I’ll take a 30-minute infrared sauna or have a nice bath with Epsom salts and essential oils. I love to put my feet up on the couch, hang out with the fam and our dog Gypsy, and read or watch TV (currently watching Tidying Up with Marie Kondo). We like to play Earthopoly or put together a jigsaw puzzle!

YOUR BEAUTY

Must-have skincare products…

Sarada Ayurvedic Remedies body oil called Woman Power! Also, Josh Rosebrook’s Nutrient Day Cream, Mad Hippie Vitamin A Serum, True Botanicals Vitamin C Powder and Cellular Repair Serum, Tata Harper Crème Riche, vitamins and bioplasma (great for hair, skin and nails!).

Favorite makeup products…

Josie Maran concealer, Mineral Fusion lengthening mascara, Honest crème blush, Laura Mercier brow pencil in brunette, W3LL people eyeliner, Whole Foods vanilla chai lip balm.

Favorite perfume…

Anything from Tsi-La Organics; so beautiful and carefully sourced! I also love Leilani Bishop perfumes; the florals are amazing. I still stay in touch with Annie and Leilani, who make those perfumes! I also love Martin Margiela’s Replica By the Fireplace.

YOUR WORK

Current and future projects…

Learn all the Narayani combination remedies, see homeopathy clients daily, have fun doing fashion shoots, dive deeper into my spiritual practice, vinyasa yoga, and raise my own consciousness for my family and clients!

What would you say to other women about how to be in the world right now…

Be a strong, conscious woman in this world. Empower yourself with education and a healthy, sustainable lifestyle to support your body, mind and spirit. Also, we are stronger together, so support and help other women–raise each other up!
