Debunking Misconceptions with Dr. JC Charrié (Part II)

PART II
The advice given here and furthermore in our publications will help you along the path of good health.

I’ve learnt simple steps to look after oneself naturally with plants, trace elements and diet. The advice given here and furthermore in our publications will help you along the path of good health.

BWB: If suffering from an infection, should one stop eating sugar and dairy products?

Infectious agents feed on sugar, increasing the risk of congestion, while milk exacerbates inflammations. These two types of products should therefore be strictly eliminated in the event of an inflammation, until a week after it has been treated.

I wouldn’t recommend drinking green tea, especially during menopause when already prone to irritability, sleeping disorders and hot flushes.

BWB: Is green tea a friend?

Yes and no. Green tea is not fermented and has therefore many anti-oxidizing properties. However tea stimulates the sympathetic nervous system (Alpha), which exacerbates nervousness, sleeping disorders and ulcer-related diseases (mouth ulcers, gastric ulcers, chronic wounds etc), as well as emotional upheavals (nervous stress, hot flushes, erythema etc). In short, I wouldn’t recommend drinking green tea, especially during menopause when already prone to irritability, sleeping disorders and hot flushes.

BWB: Is coffee a risky treat?

Drinking 3 coffees a week isn’t a problem generally, unless you’re suffering from a gastric ulcer. However, drinking 3 coffees daily is an addiction. Similarly to tea, coffee stimulates the sympathetic nervous system (Alpha), and therefore increases nervousness, irritability, spasms; it also allows nervous stress to set in and can lead to high blood pressure and risks of stroke.

It is preferable to drink orange juice later in the morning.

BWB: Is drinking orange juice in the morning a good source of vitamin C?

Yes, but it comes at a high price! Especially if you have irritable bowels, as drinking orange juice in the morning empties out your gallbladder in a drastic way, leading to a laxative effect – intended or not. Comes midday, there’s not enough bile left in your gallbladder to properly digest your meal, which creates imbalances in your organism. It is therefore preferable to drink orange juice later in the morning.

BWB: Is dried fruit higher in sugar than fresh fruit?

Dried fruit doesn’t contain more sugar than fresh fruit, but since water has been taken out from it, the remaining content in sugar seems higher. This sugar is however trapped within the fruit fibers and needs to be rehydrated by the body in order to be released – hence why it is a good source of energy for active sportsmen and women.

Recipe for youth: eating organic fruit and vegetables daily! Avoid also industrial products, cooked fats and over-consumption of meat.

BWB: Daily anti-aging routine: is there a recipe for youth?

Eating organic fruit and vegetables daily! Avoid also industrial products, cooked fats and over-consumption of meat.

BWB: Cider vinegar, a must?

Not if your organism is acidic – lemon juice would be preferable as it is a mock acid, since gastric acid turns lemon acid into citrate, which is an alkali element.

BWB: Is having raw beet juice in the morning and before lunch twice a week a good way to detoxify the liver? is it not too acidic?

It is very good for diseased as well as lazy livers.

BWB: Should fruit and vegetables be washed with white vinegar to take out pesticides?

It is a good habit, but it’s not enough – they should be peeled too.

How you are using your oven is also key to your health. You shouldn’t heat your food in plastic containers as these could release toxic components into the food through the heating process.

BWB: Are microwave ovens harmful to health?

A lot has been said about microwave ovens. The most important feature of a microwave oven is for it to be hermetic to the waves it emits – waves shouldn’t come out from the oven while switched on. But as years go by, the seals become less efficient and allow some waves to come out. Waves being invisible, it is difficult to notice a non-hermetic oven. Here is a tip to test it, based on the principle that if waves cannot come out of the oven, they cannot come in either. It is a simple experiment: place a mobile phone (or wireless home phone) into your oven, without switching it on. Using another phone, call the phone in the oven. Consider it a successful experiment if the phone placed in the oven doesn’t ring. Otherwise, if the phone rings, your oven is porous and allows waves to come in. It should then be checked or replaced.
How you are using your oven is also key to your health. You shouldn’t heat your food in plastic containers as these could release toxic components into the food through the heating process. Some of these components may lead to risks of cancer as well as infertility.
