Healthy Skin for Mummy and Baby

During pregnancy, when the body is busy supporting the development of another human being, we all know the important of shaping a healthy lifestyle. Taking vitamin supplements, doing Kegel exercises, practicing prenatal yoga, and even incorporating meditation into their everyday lives can help prepare them for giving birth.

As future mums we are proud to observe our growing bellies, amazed by their capacities to stretch and change. However, as much as we are all willing to give the best to our babies, we also worry about things like permanent stretch marks. Applying oils, drinking water, and consuming bone broth are some of the many habits we develop in order to keep our skin healthy and beautiful.

The pregnancy road can be both exciting and overwhelming. We face so many choices, and it can be difficult to decide what works and what does not.

At Beauty and Well Being, we know how important it is to find effective brands that respect your lifestyle and do not harm you or your baby. For the babies, try to avoid lines that boast strong fragrances and include phthalates (parabens, ethanol, or phenoxyethanol). For the busy mum who wants to have a spa-like experience, here is a selection of our favorite products.

For Mummy

Vitamin E

This vitamin acts as an antioxidant. Because it is fat-soluble, this vitamin can effectively and safely fight free radicals.

Natural almond, coconut, and argan oils

For centuries, women have applied oil either before or after a shower to lock in moisture. These specific oils keep the skin hydrated and offer a wide range of healthy fatty acids.

Cocoa butter and shea butter

Though they may not eliminate the appearance of marks, the many antioxidant properties of these oils help maintain the health of your skin, and stimulate the skin renewal process.

Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil

A multi-tasker, this product can supplement your face cream or be applied all over your body. It also works on sunspots that the summer mums may see developing. After a few days, the oil leaves smooth and glowing skin.

Basq Resilient Stretch Marks Oil

Infused with nourishing, natural ingredients and lovely perfumes (citrus, lavender and eucalyptus), this oil leaves skin silky with a dry finish.

Mama Mio Pregnancy Boob Tube Cream

With ingredients like Shea butter, omega fatty acids, and CoQ10, this cream offers incredible antioxidant benefits. With all organic ingredients, it also gives off a fresh citrus scent.

Tummy Butter for Stretch Marks

This rich, vegan product is made with cocoa butter and nourishing oils. Its orange-chocolate scent is both comforting and soothing, and its ingredients will leave your skin feeling moist and smooth.

After Birth

Clarins Stretch Mark Minimizer

This formula works on both stretch marks and sagging to helping improve the elasticity and texture of the skin.

Belli Stretch Mark Minimizing Cream

Use this product to correct the darker marks.

For Baby

Babo Botanicals
