BWB: You have such a high profile position in the fashion world. You are surrounded by beautiful people, designs and fabrics. What inspires you most?

I think I am most inspired by passionate and kind people who love their work.

BWB: Is there a favorite fragrance you are enjoying this season?

I’ve recently turned back to one of my favorites. It is Oscar’s first fragrance, Oscar.

BWB: As a career woman, wife and mother, how do you manage keeping it all in balance?

You just have to do the best that you can, one day at a time, and try not to obsess.

I am seeing a ton of beautiful florals and graphic prints like gingham. I also love white lace for summertime.

Oscar was always very inspired by his upbringing in the Dominican Republic. He loved color and light. Oscar’s designs were warm and vibrant, just like his island.

BWB: You have beautiful, radiant skin. Please share with us your skin care routine and a few of your favorite products.

I am really very simple when it comes to skincare.
Take off your makeup before you go to bed!
I use Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil from Clinique which is mild and great. I love the luxury face oil, Rodin olio lusso as a moisturizer.
I use the Eight Hour Cream from Elizabeth Arden on my lips.

BWB: What makes a woman beautiful in your eyes?

Confidence.

BWB: What is your own personal advice for staying beautiful and healthy?

I think the key is lots of fresh air, lots of water, and to laugh as much as possible.

The most important thing is to stay true to your instincts and wear things that make you feel like yourself.

BWB: When a woman wears one of your dresses, she feels glamorous! Selecting a dress can often be challenging. Can you share some advice on making the process easier?

BWB: Oscar de la Renta is a global fashion company. Do you find that beauty is perceived differently in various regions?

Absolutely! When we design we are always thinking about many different types of women with different lifestyles all over the world, but we find that a woman’s desire to feel beautiful is universal.

BWB: What is your favorite lipstick of the moment?

Nude from Trish McEvoy.
