Finding Your Voice with Jordan Emanuel

How model, entrepreneur and humanitarian Jordan Emanuel keeps it glam beyond the cameras.

What makes Jordan Emanuel BWB’s latest muse? It’s hard to choose just one reason. First, Jordan is Playboy’s 2019 Playmate of the Year. Second, she was Miss Black America New York 2018! Third, she co-founded a non-profit women’s organization. Finally, she has THREE degrees to her name: Broadcast Journalism, Music Business and Art History from the University of Miami. In short, Jordan is our latest muse because she is an unstoppable woman. Her non-profit, Women With Voices, is dedicated to empowering women in all facets of their lives. Emanuel offers her expertise with mental health awareness, as well as sexual education & liberation. After all, a sexy woman is a strong woman.

Read on to discover how Emanuel keeps it glamorous beyond the cameras!

YOUR WORK

What inspired you to start Women With Voices (WWV)?

When I met the founder, we had such a similar passion of bringing women together without limitations that starting WWV was a natural escalation for us. I hope that WWV is the first of numerous non-profits I co-found.

What is your recipe for being an effective leader?

I think communication is everything. Whether that’s listening or speaking, having communication skills is essential for leadership.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Don’t take anything personally. This is one of the four agreements from the book of the same name, which is a life changer!

YOUR WOMANHOOD

Who is the woman you most admire?

I think all of the women in my family are inspirational in different ways, and I aspire to take those elements and instill them in myself.

What would you say to your younger self?

Stop all of that stressing!

What does it mean to you to be an empowered woman today?

It means being confident in your life and beliefs.
