Repost from The Fragrance Foundation.

Though it’s less than a year old, BeautyAndWellBeing.com is making a big addition to its site — fragrance coverage.

“Fragrance is very important,” says site founder Clémence von Mueffling. “It makes you feel more beautiful and will make you feel self-assured. Some fragrances are so beautiful.”

And she’s bringing in an expert to lead the coverage — former French Vogue beauty editor Lorraine Bollore, who just happens to be von Mueffling’s mother. “She will write about fragrance because this is really what she prefers to write about. She’s already written three pieces” for the site.

Launched in May 2014, the site grew out of von Mueffling’s personal experiences — starting as an executive with beauty companies Clarins, Puig and Dior, shifting gears to work as a beauty journalist to ultimately landing in New York as a wife and mother to two young children. “Writers either focus on beauty or on wellness,” she explains. “I wanted to focus on bringing them together in one platform while including women of all ages.”

The team of writers working on the site is reflective of that thought. “The team ranges in age from 24 to 65, living in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Paris, Geneva and London,” von Mueffling says. “And guest contributors bring interesting information you can trust, in a way that’s possible to really use.”

In addition, the site is fleshing out a section called “Rendez-Vous” that will include interviews with interesting people. “It will be women who have a lot to share that’s inspiring,” von Mueffling says, including “so many inspiring women in the fragrance industry, like Olivia Giacobetti, who created fragrances for Hermes and Frederic Malle — she is a very beautiful woman in her 40s.”

Above all, von Mueffling is constantly thinking about her readers. “There is so much going on and they are tired of things,” she says. “We try to stay interesting, new and young, and put energy in being present and positive.”
