Evolving Your Home Into A Makeshift Spa Beauty In Quarantine Times: Part 1

There’s a difference between having to stay home all day vs. wanting to be home all day.

Some may question the importance of turning your quarantine space into a makeshift spa during the era of COVID-19. I say, when Twitter is the only window to the outside world and anxiety builds up, it’s pretty essential. During quarantine, your mental health may be affected in ways that are unfamiliar. The need to keep up with your health, beauty, and other wellness routines is at an all-time high with all of the uncertainty looming around and the following are a few assets that can help.

Before we start listing all the indulgent serums, hydration masks, humidifiers, and all other spa amenities, let’s take a moment of gratitude (it’s good to do so on a daily basis, anyway). To be safe within the walls of your home is a luxury in itself during unprecedented times like this. To be reading this article in hopes to find new ways to evolve your quarantine space is a privilege that you should recognize.

Face Moisturizer & Serum

There’s a way to attain the fountain of youth and it’s through Filorga’s Hydra-Hyal Intensive Hydrating Concentrate ($43 USD) and Hydra-Filler Pro-Youth Moisturizer ($44 UD). Their plant-based hyaluronic acid restores the skin’s natural reserves granting the gift of fresh-looking, clear skin. Old fine lines, be-gone!

Humidifier

It’s no secret that humidifiers are godsent. They elicit a mood of relaxation while moisturizing the skin and, sometimes, can even help with sinuses. The Levoit Humidifier is an ultra-cool looking asset for your space and is just as effective at keeping your skin glowy and hydrated.

Robe

The classic white terrycloth bathrobe is synonymous with the peacoat: a timeless, essential element to a wardrobe. Natori has a wide selection of bathrobes that all do the job of ensuring that users are relaxed. If you have to sit at home all day, why not sit at home all day in a cloud?

Body Moisturizer

With gyms temporarily closing and workouts being limited, it’s understandable why you might have concerns about staying in shape. Clarins Body Shaping Cream ($37 USD) not only keeps your skin moisturized, but also reduces the puffy appearances around the waist, abdomen, hips, and upper arms. Your skin will undoubtedly appear tighter and firmer after extended use.

Massage Gun

These are stressful times. Don’t let your joints suffer from it. Theragun ($199) is like having your own, half-a-foot masseuse readily available at all times. It increases circulation in muscles and eases tension in your joints– can you ask for anything more in a massage?

Incense

Incenses are the closest thing to magic on Earth. Is it the wisps of smoke? The light-burning scent? Who knows. But Hibi’s easy-to-use incense ($12)from Takamichi Beauty Room is the perfect go-to set. A wide range of pleasant aromas are released within the ten minutes each match is set making it an easy and quick option.
