If you aren’t quite sure of your answers, you can always default to one final question: What essence do others notice most? For me, this was Veronique Gabai’s Noire De Mai.
The Scent
Veronique Gabai transports you to the Côte d’Azur, the exquisite French Riviera lining the Mediterranean coast of Southeastern France. Veronique is lucky to call this place her home. For many people, this fairytale location is only for the most magical summer getaways. A spritz of her fragrance showers the skin with “fresh, humid drops of dew at dawn.”
Noire De Mai was the perfect perfume for my summertime. Dark sensual notes of wood, moss, and amber offset light, breezy notes of sun-kissed roses. The essence was both feminine and mysterious, classy yet casual. I started indulging in this sensual perfume so often that my nose unfortunately grew accustomed to the smell. Luckily, other people continuously reminded me of the romantic smell sitting in my skin. Everyone wanted to know what fragrance I was wearing— I knew I had found a scent that was truly special.
The Line
