Ellis Brooklyn

Eco-friendly, small-batch luxury fragrances

If we are what we consume, we are also what we choose, experience, and breathe. Mother and New York Times beauty columnist, Bee Shapiro had a vision for luxury fragrances with a sustainable heart – a dream which evolved into the New York-based, eco-friendly brand Ellis Brooklyn.

Each small-batch fragrance is sophisticated for the modern-wearer and multi-layered with the kind of special detail that can only come from a story.

Shapiro dedicates her quality product to transparency and sustainability, prioritizing biodegradable elements: “When purchasing an Ellis Brooklyn creation, know that we use recycled, lead-free glass and FSC-certified, Green Seal certified paper stock. We also offset our carbon footprint through carbon-neutral shipping.”

Bringing to mind the coast, golden beams of sunlight warming the river, fresh with summer rain, their latest fragrance Rives– earthy, unisex, neat, and pensive – transports you to the French Riviera circa the 1920s.

Art world icon, Marcel Duchamp, once said, “I don’t believe in art. I believe in artists.” It’s no coincidence that Shapiro expertly modeled Rrose (a play on “Eros, C’est La Vie”) after Duchamp’s performative, complex, and inspired female alter-ego.

Evoking the kind of nostalgia that comes from putting your hands into the pockets of a favorite coat or inhaling a gently perfumed waft of air upon entering a familiar room, the Myth Excellent Body Milk, and its iconic and delicate scent, is a favorite at BWB. You will fall in love with the way your skin feels after applying this lightweight, silky formula.

Being a thoughtful consumer pays back with this new approach to scent:

clean, eco, and luxurious.
