Shapiro dedicates her quality product to transparency and sustainability, prioritizing biodegradable elements: “When purchasing an Ellis Brooklyn creation, know that we use recycled, lead-free glass and FSC-certified, Green Seal certified paper stock. Art world icon, Marcel Duchamp, once said, “I don’t believe in art. I believe in artists.” It’s no coincidence that Shapiro expertly modeled Rrose (a play on “Eros, C’est La Vie”) after Duchamp’s performative, complex, and inspired female alter-ego.
